Farletta was almost immediately more comfortable in her new "fancy-pants" dry lot. She went from something resembling a half crippled, decrepit, "old" horse (at only age 11) to a happy, active, galloping, playing, sound as a gold nugget, horse looking every bit the healthy, young horse she is.
This pic is about two months after Farletta moved to the dry lot. The pink arrow shows where the abscess blew out earlier in the year. There is a corresponding white line separation that can be seen from the bottom of the hoof -- it lines up exactly with where this abscess blew out. As of late December, the abscess is grown out and the white line separation is no more. The green arrow shows where the new hoof is coming in without any rings!
